How would you describe your style?
I don’t have a specific style. I do, however, love the traditional and country style. So they’ve been my main influences around my home.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
A whole heap of different places – there are so many amazing accounts on Instagram that I find a lot of great ideas from. I love Pinterest and viewing display homes too. I also have so many favourite designers who I get inspiration from. My ultimate would have to be Joanna Gaines. I also love Randi Garrett – I find her style very similar to mine.
How do you begin when starting a new room or project?
I envision how I want the space to look, decide on the colour scheme, then start with the styling. It’s so much fun. The kitchen has definitely been my favourite project.
What’s next for you?
In terms of my current reno, I’m hoping to start my laundry/pantry room soon, then the bathrooms. Outside of my own renovations, I’ve started to help some family and friends with interior design and styling.

Number one tip for DIY decorators? Don’t be afraid to be creative. Everyone has their own unique style and twist in their decorating so be sure to always follow that. Don’t do what others are doing because it’s in trend or the safer route, do you and what inspires you.
If in doubt … Start again.
My favourite room in the house is … The kitchen.
Comfort or style? Both combined.
