1 Keep larger furniture neutral
White furniture, rattan and timber all fit the Hamptons style to a tee. This traditional design style predominately features a soothing colour scheme of pastels, all-white or soft grey. So, keeping your furniture neutral is a great starting point.

2 Choose accent colours wisely
The traditional Hamptons aesthetic incorporates accent colours inspired by the sea – think deep-blue, ocean-green, coral-pink or sand-beige hues. The tan tones and textures I used in this styling project are trending and fit the neutral Hamptons palette.

3 Play with pattern

4 Use a summery scent
All of our senses affect how we experience a space and our sense of smell is a big one. When relaxing or entertaining outdoors, set out a few scented candles in beautiful candleholders.
