Style like a stylist
So often we see a stunning setting in a magazine and think wow. Interior stylist and blogger, Hayley Little of @mumlittleloves, shows us how it’s done as she styles our Armand Library Shelving Unit — Hamptons style! — choc full of Early Settler goodies and decor.
7 easy steps
1
Gather your goodies
Collect all the books and items you want to display, wipe away any dust and group them into categories, such as kids’ trophies, photos and books.
2
By the book
Stack your books in small clusters — some vertically and some horizontally. You could group them by topic, such as travel books, memoirs, or by colour.
4
Pop in your peeps
Pick out your favourite family photos and put them on display. Nothing makes a house a home like personalising it with your loved ones and memories.
5
Trinkets & treasures
Bring the bling with some metallic glints or personal treasures and trophies. For special keepsakes, like trinkets from your wedding, you could have a decorative box.
6
Colour & quirk
Add those special items that are uniquely you and the family, like a framed drawing from your child, a seashell from a beach holiday or your favourite scented candle.
7
Snazzy storage solutions
Keep things organised and in easy reach with some baskets and boxes. The Armand also has generous cupboard storage to stash away the toys and extra cushions.
