Our Favourite Table: Reclaimed Teak

Reclaimed Teak Cross Leg

Built from a tropical hardwood with a durability that’s made it the timber of choice for generations, our Reclaimed Teak Cross Leg Table is our favourite outdoor dining table. It is also one of the most popular pieces in our collection. Elegant by design with a stylish cross leg base, rich natural finish and superb craftsmanship, it’s no wonder this all-weather alfresco essential is in constant high demand. But there are so many more reasons why we love this teak table.

We sustainably source our reclaimed teak from Cirebon, a historic port city in West Java, Indonesia, where it once had a life as a building, school or jetty. Rescuing this type of timber is a more expensive process, but one we think is worth the effort.
Each plank of timber comes in a different size and shape, with its own unique marks, dents and imperfections, which add to its character and charm.
Teak wood is rich in natural oils, which acts as a natural preservative, making it an ideal all-weather wood.
Recycled teak furniture is made from timber planks that can be up to 100 years old. With this ageing process comes an extra level of durability and strength that newly cut timber just can’t compete with.
There’s nothing better than giving timber a second life. Choosing recycled wood means not a single tree is cut down in the process, reducing deforestation and our overall carbon footprint.
