Whether you like to roll out the full traditional roast lunch with all the trimming or barbecued prawns and some fresh summer salads out on the deck, there’s no wrong way to do Chrissy lunch. One thing we all want for the big day, however, is for it to be perfect for our friends and family as we gather to feast, exchange gifts and celebrate. Our favourite stylists offer some Christmas table inspiration for creating the perfect lunch setting.
Three Birds Renovations created a laidback layering for their Christmas table in their barn renovation. Starting with a cloth table runner, they paired function and form with placemats, stacked plates, gold cutlery and a theme of white shells, coral and candles. This breezy setting really captures a beachy aesthetic, which is perfect for hot or coastal locations, or those who simply adore Hamptons-style chic. “This Christmas we are keeping things simple, with a cream and gold palette and plenty of natural textures like rattan and linen.”

Hayley Little of @mumlittleloves takes her Christmas table to the next level. Beneath a chandelier strung with Christmas baubles, Hayley set out formal plates and napery beside a spectacular faux flower garland running the length of the table. This crafting wizard also used faux flowers to create a floral wreath and decorate her Christmas tree.
“So much love for this fun DIY project I did with Early Settler.”
Maya Anderson of @housenerd masters the relaxed look with this outdoor setting. Anchored by wrought-iron Christmas ornaments, she adorns her Christmas table with candles, natural linen and matching crockery, all topped off with handmade decorations as a gift for each of her guests.
“I enjoy our outdoor space SO much since I set up our Marson table from Early Settler.”
