House Rules: Modern Eco Ranch

Share

Reno 1

Travelling to Melbourne’s Cranbourne, the House Rules’ teams rebirthed a “brick bunker” into a light-filled, modern eco ranch to the delight of Kayne and Aimee. We’ve got plenty of ideas to bring the earthy look into your interiors with natural materials and upcycled furnishings for a more environmentally-friendly home.

Go Au naturel

Use natural materials, like reclaimed or sustainably-source timber. The Dawson is one of our favourite collections as it’s environmentally friendly yet with a contemporary chic.

Laidback linen

Relaxed fabrics like cotton and linen help to amplify the natural ambience in the room. The canvas of the Slouch gets softer with age — and the covers can even be removed for dry-cleaning.

Upcycle opportunities

Look for upcycling opportunities to repurpose a beloved dining table or bench seat. Or pick up some upcycled gems from India to get the look without the elbow grease.

Nurture nature inside

Bring the outdoors inside by maximising the light with sheer curtains and plenty of indoor plants in eclectic pots and plant holders.
