Although if you’re tired of the traditional red-and-white Christmas baubles and décor, Heather Nette King has a fresh modern take on decorating with contemporary Christmas colours.

Christmas table

When it comes to styling your Christmas table, have fun with your crockery and décor. Stack up your plates and salad bowls for each setting (rather than placing them separately) to add a touch of formality and drama. And anchor the scene with a festive centrepiece, such as the Surat White Christmas Tree or the Cane Christmas Tree for a more coastal look.

“Decorative accessories are also embracing the natural colour palette — such as coloured glass vases in gentle greens, blues, nudes and other nature-inspired tones like amber and tortoiseshell,” says Heather.

Antique-look ornaments

Among the Early Settler Christmas collection for 2021, the buying team has hand-selected a range of unique ornaments in golds, white and dusky pastels. Largely sourced from India, each piece is elegantly crafted with muted hues and a coastal-boho vibe.

With this year’s decoration collection including antique-look baubles, hanging products, napkin holders, cheese knives and decorative tree statues ranging from 25cm to 78cm in height, you can decorate from the dining room to the deck in a soothing and sophisticated festive colour scheme.
